Char began her career in the skin care industry nearly 20 years ago. She started out as a promotional model for Clinique Cosmetics. While working with the customers she realized there was a need out there for people that had challenged skin types such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, aging skin, etc. She loved working with the customers that had challenged skin types and conditions. Char continues to have a deep desire to help her clients with their skin issues. One of her sons was born with a skin condition. Every doctor she went to for help could not cure him of his skin issues. She was determined to help find a solution to his skin condition. Char realized by educating herself, that ingredients play an important role in how the skin reacts to certain products. She went on to earn her certification in cosmetic chemistry at UCLA. She now understands the importance of Dermatologist testing, Ophthalmologist approved, Efficiency testing, Professional and Consumer approval, Formulation of products, and the important role of cosmetic chemistry. Char did finally find a solution to her sons skin issue.
While promotional modeling for a cosmetic company, she was offered a full time position with Clinique to sell cosmetics at Bullocks which was bought out by Macy’s Department Store. Being recognized with the ability to communicate, educate and a natural passion for learning about the skin care needs of others. She became a top producer in the country for cosmetics due to her knowledge of skin care.
While working in the department stores she continued her education in skin care and the power of Artistry Make-up. Whenever there were classes offered by different cosmetic lines Char jumped at the opportunity to attend these classes. Classes were offered by some of the top retail cosmetics lines like: Trish Mc Covy, Bobby Brown, Elizabeth Arden, Laura Merceier , Mac Cosmetics, Channel, Shiseido, Estee’ Lauder, Lancome, Prescriptives, and Dr. Pericone .
She also meet Anastasia of Beverly Hills who showed her the basics of eyebrow contouring. Char earns the respect of her clients and co-workers thru dedication to education and knowledge of the products she uses and sells.
While working for the Estee Lauder Company , she was recognized in magazines and newspapers as the
“Turn Around Cream Queen” and “Top Producer” for Clinique. Char was presented with an outstanding customer service award by Leonard Lauder, son of Mrs. Lauder, founder of Estee‘ Lauder Cosmetics. Char continued to win many awards in the skin care industry thru her career.

Char continued her dream to work in the skin care and cosmetic industry and went to work for Clinique at Nordstrom, South Coast Plaza, in Southern California. Char once again became one of the
Best Skin Care Consultants and Make-up Artist in the nation.
Her passion for skin care and education had lead her back to college, attending esthetics. While attending Golden West College she dedicated her time to the theater of arts by doing the make-up for the performers in the shows. During her enrollment she earned a Blue Ribbon of honors in make-up department and earned her name on the Deans list. She was so honored to know that she was graduating from college with honors for esthetics. She continues her education to this day.

Today Char now owns and operates Skin By Char, her own Skin Care Studio in Huntington Beach, California, and is also the proud owner of Skin By Char Skin Care, which is a full line of high performance skin care and make-up products. Char continues her education by holding over
80 certificates within the skin care industry.
Char is a skin care professional who prides herself on customer service and commitment to her role in the skin care industry. Char has furthered her education through extension courses at UCLA this summer of 2010 in cosmetic chemistry which certifies her in the latest cosmetic chemistry advances to date.
